DarkHours uses Plausible Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read, and nothing else.

Plausible doesn't use cookies, doesn't store IP addresses, and can't track you across sites or devices. It generates a daily-rotating anonymous count instead of a persistent identifier. Full detail on exactly what's collected is in Plausible's data policy.

DarkHours itself doesn't have accounts, doesn't ask for an email address, and doesn't set any tracking cookies. Your search history and unit/night-vision preferences are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to our servers.

Location and date data you enter is used only to generate the report you asked for, by querying weather, light pollution, and satellite data providers. It isn't logged against your identity or stored beyond what's needed to serve that request.
